Farah Faz Al Zadjaly, from Faz Fashion Diary has been a part of the blogging world since 2012. She’s currently one of my favorite fashion bloggers & agreed to answer a few of my questions. Read all about it below!

Could you tell us a bit about yourself?
I am an Omani that grew up in Dubai and was based in Scotland for the past 5 years. I studied in Scotland and worked for several different companies. I was an assistant stylist to Lynn McCrossan for nearly 2 years. I decided between before finish my BA in International Fashion Retailing I would love creating fashion shows and opened up Metropolitan Fashion Show. I love to dancing, the colour yellow, exercise and love life as its too short to just be angry at the world.
What inspired you to start up your blog?
I used to follow lots of bloggers from my favorite The Fierce Diaries, Forever Yours Betty, Thank Fifi , The Blonde Salad and many more. As researching I tried to find something I was interested in and pushed on it. I love meeting artist, fashionable and those that inspire the fashion industry, which is when interviews came to mind. I always get inspired through the my eye and the passion of individuals.

How would you describe your style? |
I am a mixture of a lot of things.. I would say my style is different according to my mood. I do love a lot of colour. I can go from classic to quirky, funky and trendy.
Where do you tend to shop from the most and why?
I look into a lot of independent designers where ever I go, from Abetwix , C.Watson, Obscure Couture and many more in Scotland to DinzClothing, Coquette Boutique, West La boutique and others. I love shopping at different places due to want to stay true to myself. I have a few high street brands which also bring my wardrobe together. The independent designers always inspire me from why they start to the fabrics and silhouettes they use.
Where do you find inspiration for your blog posts?
I get my inspiration for my blog post from people and experience. I write most my post based on experience from meeting a fashion designer, make-up artist and more to how I feel around them. I write about events which I think makes a different and push on the face that they make a stand for what they believe in.
Who is your style icon?
Katherine Hepburn, Talitha Getty, Lauren Hutton to Jessica Alba and Madonna.
What’s your ‘go-to-outfit’?
I would not say I have a Go-to-outfit but I have things in my wardrobe that I believe just goes with everything. I always need a great pair of blue jeans, a white shirt, a yellow skirt and good pair of heels depending on the occasion. If I am not in heels , I would say a pair of beautiful flats.
What tip do you have for someone who wants to start up their own fashion blog or website?
Research from bloggers to fashion news that is interesting and from there things do come together. Keep the blog true to yourself and being unique because copying others just makes you the same as everyone else.

What’s the biggest challenge about fashion blogging?
I would say getting people to realize bloggers don’t really sit about and do nothing. As well as if they haven’t read your blog and say ‘ Your another blogger’ .
Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
I can not really say where I see myself.. I take things day by day and love life.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever received ?
Stay true to yourself and never let anyone put you down.
