Inspiration | Pakistani Blogger: Fatemah Sajwani!
Can you tell our readers about yourself & your blog?
I am Fatemah Sajwani, a Pakistani beauty and lifestyles blogger at What Fatemah Says. Professionally I am a marketer and want to make a career in the PR Industry.
How & why did you start blogging?
I started blogging almost 3 years ago as a hobby and focused on beauty related topics only. However, as time passed, my interests changed and I add a whole lot of topics and dynamics to blog.
What are some of your strengths that really helped you in your blogging?
As a marketing student, I knew what steps to take in order to penetrate to the Pakistani market and easily gelled with international brands.
What do you find the most frustrating aspect of blogging?
I started blogging as a college sophomore and it was extremely difficult to manage my studies with the blog. The most frustrating thing about blogging is when you can’t get that right photograph but once you get it, it’s such a blessing.
Who’s your number 1 inspiration?
Honestly I don’t have a particular inspiration.
Comfy jeans, a sweatshirt, sneakers and some funky accessories.-I am a total tomboy.
Where do you mostly shop from?
In Pakistan its definitely Khaadi and Nishat, outfitters and stoneage
Have you met anyone interesting on your blogging journey?
Oh yes, the best part of being a blogger is that you find so many other bloggers who could understand you and become friends with them. Perks of being a blogger: MEETING CELEBRITIES =P
Who was your first style icon?
Because I have always been a tomboy interested in beauty, it was not easy to find the right style icon but recently I loved Shay Mitchell’s character Emily Fields. That is the right way to describe my fashion style.
What is the biggest challenge that you face as a blogger?
Definitely photography: getting the right amount of light and exposure so that the camera can pick the correct colors, especially for makeup swatches.
Who takes most of your photos?
I take all the pictures myself, but sometimes my sisters help too.
Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
I am hoping to start a YouTube channel along with my blog to involve all my readers more and more.
