Could you tell us a bit about yourself?

I’m a fashion and beauty blogger by night, and an online marketing professional by day. I’m originally from India but I was born in Dubai and have lived here my whole life.

What inspired you to start up your blog?

I used to blog as a way of journaling my everyday life and that turned into a plus size fashion blog/ diary after I cam across Mia Tyler and a some plus size bloggers. I was so inspired with how confident they were, and I shared similar feelings of rebelling against the beauty standards dictated by our cultures and society.

How would you describe your style?

I think my style is eclectic but I tend to lean more towards bohemian and edgy fashion.

Where do you tend to shop from the most and why?

I shop a lot at Asos and Forever 21 here in Dubai. They both have fantastic plus size ranges that are trendy and affordable.

Where do you find inspiration for your blog posts?

I don’t read fashion magazine, most of my style inspiration comes from all the awesome bloggers I follow.

Who is your style icon?

Solange Knowles, she is fearless and perfect.

What’s your ‘go-to-outfit’?

This past summer, my standard uniform has been a summer dress and knee high gladiator sandals.

What tip do you have for someone who wants to start up their own fashion blog or website?

Use WordPress, learn some photo editing skills, invest in a good camera, and up your social media game.

What’s the biggest challenge about fashion blogging?

Well, apart from the fact that fashion isn’t exactly plus size friendly, I think the focus of blogs has shifted to how many Instagram followers you have vs page views. It’s become so Instagram focused and the pressure to be active and have high numbers gets to me sometimes. At least Snapchat is still fun!

Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?

I have no clue, but hopefully married with a kid and still blogging.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received ?

You’re never going to be able to please everyone else, so you might as well please yourself.
