Hello my make up lovers!
I’ve recently gotten into the habit of throwing out my old make up instead of letting it sit in my make up bag & I realized that I’ve been using the same blush on for over a year ( I know I was disgusted too ) The thing about make up is that you might want to look into the date when you purchased a certain product and use it for no more than 8 months. After cleaning out my make up bag – the only three things that I needed for now, was mascara, concealer & a blush on!
So I went into Boots Pharmacy & went straight to Rimmel. Rimmel is a British manufactured cosmetics company. I always find their products of good quality and quite reasonable.
Why I went to Boots Pharmacy?
Cause quite honestly, the cosmetics section at a pharmacy is less crowded as compared to stores at malls, which means that you can easily try on the products and take your own sweet time in deciding – also there are no make up assistants in pharmacies & I don’t know about you, but I like assisting myself instead of some lady constantly discussing and analyzing a product with me.
The first product that I tried on was the ‘Stay Blushed’ cheek tint. It comes in a small tube of 14 ml. In the shade of ‘002 Touch of berry’ (there are two more shades, but this suited my skin tone more). The reason I picked out a blush tint instead of the powder is because I have really dry skin and I feel using the blush on powder just makes it more flaky. The one thing I love the most about ‘Stay Blushed’ is that it gives a very natural touch – and minimalist make up look is what I mostly go for (especially in this heat! ) And you might think that it’s such a small tube and it will get over instantly – but trust me you don’t need to apply a lot just a small hint of tint gives berry blushed cheeks! (see what I did there – lol)
The second product is the Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer & Highlighter. I got it in the shade 010 Ivory. I’ve always had troubles finding the right concealer for my dark circles – the one that I usually used was the max factor concealer stick, unfortunately they stopped manufacturing it for some reason that I’m definitely not aware of. But the Rimmel Match Perfection concealer works as a concealer & highlighter – for some reason I feel this gives greater coverage for dark circles. So I’m glad I switched to this.
The last product, Rimmel Glam Eyes Day 2 Night Mascara. I’ve been using this mascara for over 2 years now and I’m never disappointed. It has two applicators one for length and one for volume which really adds a dramatic look to the eyes .I was literally cleaning up my make up storage kit & I got rid of six empty Glam eyes mascara containers (I’m not even exaggerating) . So this is definitely a must have! I did wanna try out the Kate Moss mascara (the blue one) but I was running late for my movie so I thought I’d pick it up later – so once I have that I will write a review on it too!
All these products are quite reasonable quality wise as well as price wise. Make sure to check these products out – cause you will not be disappointed.
I hope you lovelies enjoyed this review! Make sure to share it & follow the blog!
