Dubai Events: Ramadan Trunk Show 

With the month of Ramadan coming up next (the month of fasting in Islam ) I recently attended the ‘Ramadan Trunk Show’ exhibition which took place at Ductac Gallery, Mall of the Emirates, Dubai. The whole event was based around ethnic designers displaying their individual unique designs. The great bit about this exhibition is that if you haven’t done your Eid shopping, this was the perfect place to do the last minute shopping. I learnt about the latest ‘desi’ trends that are currently trending and here’s what I noticed : the ethnic jackets and short kameezi’s with cigarette pants are currently trending in the desi world so if you’re looking to get clothes stitched – then short kameez and cigarette pants are the latest trend in Pakistan. Apart from this, I also got a chance to look at some really pretty jewellery that was mainly from India, giving Bollywood lovers a chance to make the right investments. The beauty of these jewellery was that it was highly inspired by the kind designs that Bollywood celebrities like Sonam kapoor, Deepika padukone etc mostly wear in their films. Along with this, what caught my attention was, fancy spoons with stones on it, quite frankly I’ve never really seen spoons like these and I instantly fell in love with them. The over all event was well organised and consisted of various designers under one roof which gave a lot of variety in women’s clothing.
