TBCW 2014

One of the most recognized mega fashion event, took place in Lahore. The Telenor Bridal Couture Week 2014. For  those of you who aren’t aware of this, well this is  a three day fashion show event, which is mainly focused on the latest bridal trends.

Here are some of my personal favorites:

Maria B’s ‘Rose- garden’ collection, took us back to the 18th century. Her collection was very vintage and consisted of European cuts and embroiderers. The entire collection had a very nostalgic feel to it and was definitely designed for the 21st century brides.

Ali Xeeshan’s ‘Daastan’ collection was highly inspired by the popular film ‘Mughal-e-Azam’ and had a very dramatic feel to it. The rich embellishments and fabrics took us back to the golden era of the Mughals.

Tena Durrani’s collection, consisted of rich colors and french knots. The collection used traditional crafts and bought together a unique style with the combination of pastels and rich colors.

Hina Butt’s collection had a very ‘Persian’ feel to it. The prints used were modernized, giving it a chic and polished look.
