3 Tips That Will Help You Avoid Your Cravings

If I’m being honest, I’ve realized that I tend to eat when I’m bored and I’m sure that’s not just me – chances are you do it too! It’s only natural and we’re all humans.
This year, I’ve gotten very conscious about what I eat mainly because I was never the sort who would gain weight. But somehow, this whole year has been an absolute nightmare thanks to the virus – and during the lockdown I realized that even I can gain weight (I will never take my skinny genes for granted, ever again!)
Point being, here are a few things that I do to avoid the mindless snacking.
- Drink plenty of water
Sometimes, you’re just thirsty and you end up confusing that with hunger. According to google, thirst and hunger symptoms are quite similar and your brain tends to confuse the thirst for hunger! So just try drinking water the next time you think you’re hungry.
PS- you should also try drinking black coffee – it has an element called chlorogenic acid, which is known to speed-up weight loss. If you consume black coffee after supper or dinner, the presence of chlorogenic acid slows down the production of glucose in the body.
2. Brush your teeth
For me, brushing my teeth is like cut off time for munching. Because who wants to put in the effort of brushing again and again especially when you know you just want to munch.
3. Plan your meals in advance
This is super important, if you plan your meals in advance you won’t feel the need to go off-track. Keep a decent balanced amount of protein, carbs and fats in your diet so that you don’t end up eating extra.
And just incase, IF you feel the need to munch very badly – FRUITS are your best friends!
