How To Dress Like Kelsey Peters From Younger ft. Shein

I finally got a chance to sit and watch the latest episodes of Younger. I personally love that show, firstly because it’s based around publishing and secondly I LOVE the fashion. Kelsey Peters (aka Hilary Duff) is by far my favorite character in the show. I’ve been a huge Hilary Duff fan since high school, and I started watching the show because of her so obviously I was going to write a post about it.

The Casual Cute-sy

Even though most of the episodes are based around work, I still look forward to her casual looks for chill time with friends. You know the ones where she’s chilling with Maggie and Liza outside work.

 

Floral statement pieces are important. You need to keep at least 3 floral tops in your wardrobe for casual brunches or a lunch out with the girls. They’re cute and fun and definitely a must have.

If you wanna dress like Kelsey then be ready to add a lot of printed tops in your wardrobe. And plenty of statement earrings too. I love how she experiments with her hairstyles and jewelry. Every look of hers is so different and refreshing.

Please Please Please INVEST IN A GOOD DENIM JACKET. Every wardrobe needs it for sure. They’re important for days when you don’t feel like putting in the efforts to dress up. Just wear a color tee and throw on a denim jacket and jeans and walk out of the house.

Solid color tops are important for plenty of different things. They’re perfect for days when you wanna look chic but want it to look effortless. So definitely invest in colors like yellow, mustard, teal or even red.

The Formal Work Look

Kelsey’s work looks are goals for sure. I mean I do wish I was that consistent when it comes to dressing up formally. It’s a commitment to fashion for sure.

Invest in a lot of button down shirts and please for the love of God tuck it in. I personally hate it when someone wears a gorgeous button down shirt but kills the entire look by not tucking it in.

Every working woman needs to own at least two – five pairs of pant suit. Nuff said. Be it printed or solid colors the choice is purely yours, but be sure to own it.

Turtle neck tops are a game changer for sure. They instantly add a hint of chic to your entire look. Definitely add a bunch of these to your work wardrobe.

The Dressy Kelsey

This one is my absolute favorite. Sometimes I do wish that my life was as happening as Kelsey’s so I could wear all her gorgeous dresses to different events but oh well.

If you don’t own a lil black dress, I want you to take a step back and reevaluate your entire wardrobe right now! A black slip dress can literally save your life when you don’t know what to wear to an event or even date night. Just throw on a lil black dress with red lips and heels, you’re good to go baby!

This is one of my favorite looks for the three episodes that I’ve binged watched today. A glitter dress is definitely something I need to invest in too!
